BIG FISH - BORNE
Calle Comercial 9, Barcelona.
Located in a small street in Barcelona’s El Born, Big Fish is a concept restaurant founded by a family of seafood merchants. A fresh and dynamic interior design has been achieved using period furniture and fittings mixed with striking modern elements, many of which nod to the provenance of the restaurant’s cuisine. Centre stage is a giant, cascading light fitting made of disks of shells, whilst old ship lanterns illuminate the bar area. Worn leather sofas are mixed with mid-century modern chairs in the dining area, lending it a cosy, ad-hoc air whilst a spectacular bar evokes the charm of a 19th century saloon.
