MENJADOR

Calle Valencia 193, Barcelona.

A slick, New York-style bistro feel has been achieved in El Menjador, a Barcelonese restaurant specialising in braised meats and fish. Faced with a space that was not overly large, walls were clad in light-reflecting, lacquer-black tiles, and contemporary wooden tables and chairs arranged in a row on either side, framing the area. Depth has been created with a rear mirrored wall, where a light box projects names of ingredients the restaurant uses; an original idea that gives El Menjador a hip, urban feel.
