Passeig de Grŕcia, 24, Barcelona.

In this partial renovation for a well-established tapas bar on Barcelona’s emblematic Passeig de Grácia, Rosa-Violán has looked north for inspiration, to the famous bistros of France. Whilst still keeping a Mediterranean feel, comfortable banquettes and bookshelves were installed, with the aim of widening the bar’s function as a place for hurried pre-meal aperitif to one where clients may sit down and linger over a coffee or full meal.  Feature walls have been created using visually arresting posters, adding color and a retro-vibe, whist hand-painted light fittings further add to the ‘neighborhood bar’ ambiance in this upmarket location.
