VISTA MARE

Passeig Joan de Borbó 93, Barcelona.

The Club Natació Barcelona (Barcelona Swimming Club) is somewhat of an institution in the city. Dating from 1907, it is located at the southern-most end of the Barcelona’s shore, on a stretch of beach that has recently been given a new lease of life thanks to the installation of an attractive boardwalk. In keeping with the regenerative spirit of the area, club members can now enjoy a new restaurant—the Vistamare. As the name suggests, sweeping sea views are afforded through wrap-around curtain windows, whilst the clean, contemporary lines of the décor reflect the foam of the Med’s waves and the wooden boardwalk below. Curved and V-shaped supporting element and black benches, lamps and other details add a dramatic contrast.
